Posting Your Franked Mail

How to post your Franked Mail.

You must present mail that is:

• Segregated (sorted) by service (1st class, 2nd class, recorded delivery, special delivery etc.)
• Posted in the correct area You must post your franked mail within your postal district (Your postal district is the first part of your registered postcode eg LS16)
• Either posted in franked mail boxes or bagged with correct label or posted in standard post boxes using metered mail envelopes.

You can obtain bags, colour coded by class from the Royal Mail to sort your mail - Royal Mail can collect this sorted mail for a charge or free of charge if your postage  level is high enough.

If you post your franked mail in a standard mail box your mail must be first placed in a metered mail envelope - a small supply of these are supplied with your franking machine.

Correctly dated and posted on the date shown

Clear impression (sufficient ink).
Always ensure that your prints are clear and complete. Poor prints may be rejected by your postal authority.
